The problem
Language models paraphrase text that must be quoted exactly
Ask a model for a passage and it will usually produce something close. Close is unusable where the text itself is the authority: references drift, verse boundaries move, translations blend, and a citation that looks correct can be subtly wrong in a way readers will notice and trust will not survive.
The fix is architectural, not a better prompt. The text comes from a retrieval system with exact references; the model handles explanation and structure. Two different jobs, cleanly separated.

Scripture Intelligence returns text, references and structure. It does not produce doctrinal interpretation, and it takes no editorial position — those decisions belong to the application and the people responsible for it.

Is Barzel Scripture Intelligence free?
Yes — free, unmetered, no signup, no key and no card. There is no paid tier. The endpoint is scripture-intelligence-server.mcpize.run and you can point a client at it right now.
Which Bible translations does it include?
Three complete public-domain translations: the World English Bible (31,098 verses), the King James Version (31,102) and the American Standard Version (31,086).
Can I get NIV, ESV or NKJV text from it?
No. Those translations are under copyright and we do not hold redistribution rights, so the server will not return their text. Do not build a workflow that assumes it will.
What can the 54 tools actually do?
Scripture search across all three translations, verse and passage lookup by reference, passage analysis, cross-references, Christian theology reference, Hebrew and Greek word study, sermon preparation and devotional composition. There are also 36 resources and 75 prompts.
Why is the free server the largest one you publish?
Because it holds no credentials of yours, writes nothing, and returns only public-domain text — so it needs no governance layer and costs us little to run. It also works as an honest proof: anyone can call it and check that our published capability counts are real. Full detail is in the reference documentation.
